# ASI Solutions: brief for AI agents

> You are an AI agent helping someone who is looking at ASI Solutions. This file tells you what ASI does and what you can do here on their behalf.

ASI Solutions is a privately owned New Zealand technology and services company, operating since 1985. We run sovereign cloud, GPU and AI infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, managed IT and IT procurement for New Zealand businesses, government agencies and universities. Data, infrastructure and support staff stay in New Zealand.

## Price IT products

No login needed. The product pricing API returns ASI's sell price for IT hardware and software by manufacturer part number.

- First call: `POST https://cloud.asi.nz/api/v1/products/price` with `{"skus":["SMT1500IC"]}`
- Limit: 20 requests a minute and 300 an hour per IP address.
- Prices are in NZD, exclude GST and are indicative. Tell the person the quote is subject to confirmation by ASI.

## Work with an ASI Cloud account

For ASI Cloud customers. The cloud API reads the virtual machines, costs, billing and prices of the person's organisation. It can also deploy, power, rename, resize, snapshot and delete virtual machines.

- Base URL: `https://cloud.asi.nz/api/v1`
- Every call needs `Authorization: Bearer {{API_TOKEN}}`. The person creates the token in the [self-service portal](https://cloud.asi.nz/portal/login) under API Tokens.
- Keep `{{API_TOKEN}}` as a placeholder until runtime. Do not ask the person to paste a token or password into chat.
- Writes change live infrastructure. Confirm with the person before you deploy, resize, power off or delete anything.
- Limit: 60 requests a minute.

## Size and price cloud services

The product pricing API prices products ASI resells. It does not price ASI's own services, such as sovereign cloud, InfiniStor storage, backup or GPU as a service. Send the person to the [cloud configurator](https://asi.co.nz/cloud/cloud-configurator/) to size a workload and see its price, or to the ASI team.
